Objectives

Destination stakeholders will be mapped and actively involved from the beginning. Through focus group workshops and innovative participatory visioning techniques, their needs, opinions, and perspectives will be explored in-depth. Selected stakeholder representatives will remain involved throughout the entire project to ensure continuous input.

Based on stakeholder feedback, practical resilience indicators will be developed, and both quantitative and qualitative data will be collected. This will lead to a comprehensive resilience index that powers a digital monitoring platform. Destinations will be able to use this platform to assess their resilience levels, track progress, and benchmark against each other.

A doctoral college will be established at TSU, and the existing one at UIBK will be strengthened, creating exchange opportunities between PhD students and coordinators. Students will conduct field research, collect longitudinal data, and help maintain the digital platform while receiving enhanced training. They will also provide ongoing support and training to destination stakeholders.

Project outcomes will be disseminated through a project website, social media, scientific conferences, and publications. Regular public discussions will be organized to share research findings, present the digital resilience platform, and spread good practices to all stakeholder groups.
